(First-class insider tip) The restaurant "Zur Käslis", the route for everyone, the honest, Kahlgründer Käslis cheese specialties, which are hardly available today, and homemade sausages and ham (all sausages) personally produced by the master butcher (son of the house) according to traditional recipes (all sausages -and ham to take away) more than worth it. This type of restaurant existed in almost every place around 40 years ago, but nowadays only as an absolute rarity. Bon appetit 👌😋 The Kahlgründer Äbbelwoi (Frankfurt's traditional drink, but what hardly anyone knows, mostly delivered from the Kahlgrund) is available here, of course in the Kahlgründer Bembel (the Frankfurters had stolen the idea) 😋😀 ... 🥳
We like to come here in summer. Super cream hand cheese. Nice service.
A real original! Quaint and good!
Simply cult!
Simply delicious and honest food ...
When asked "How was it at Käslies?" was replied to me last year by a guest after visiting the rock garden: "DRECKIG!".
A treat not only for cheese lovers, it is worth a stop.
She may not close. I go there for 55 years.
Absolute insider tip. But reserved before. Is very popular in the whole area
..an institution, home-style dishes and of course the original Käsliesl-Käs
Very nice staff very good cheese
Very good traditional cuisine. The hand cheese is absolutely world class. What micht there absolutely convinced is the self-made "Wooscht" 👍. For example, the can press bag, Hammer.
Fits. Nice station in transit or to stay. Beer garden is something special. Own bread and special cheese compositions of the offer.
Just Heavenly the Handkäs
Good cheese
The staff (presumably owner + father) lacked manners. When I asked at the beginning whether I could get a bite to eat (4.30 p.m.) I got the answer: "You could have read that outside in the box". I was there with my young dog (8 months old and just taken over from animal welfare). Since this was his first visit to a restaurant, I had to calm him down first so that he could take a seat under the table before I could look at the menu. The landlord took this as an opportunity to loudly announce at the regulars table that no more dogs are being trained these days and whether that would be possible in a pack. Then I was given a small spoon and a knife with the hand cheese. The older man probably found the question about the fork funny (they would always serve it that way). When I had eaten around 3/4 of my plate I was asked "was everything okay with you ......... WAS? I was still eating .............. ... So even with a rural, rustic, old inn with specialties, you should think about how all of this will be received by the guest. In any case, I will not be back and certainly not recommend the restaurant to anyone, even if the hand cheese would be worth it.
All positive conditions food and drink.
The good home cooking is warmly recommended. Unfortunately, the cleanliness in the beautiful rock garden left a lot to be desired. Sometimes you would have to pick up a broom here
Best hand cheese ever. Also sausage and cider great. To sit quaint.
Delicious handkäs in cream sauce. The specialty of the house. Very friendly service
